Keynote speaker: MIT Chancellor Melissa Nobles
This year, we were happy to welcome Chancellor Melissa Nobles as our keynote speaker to engage in a moderated conversation focusing on “Student Life and Community at MIT.” Chancellor Nobles is the Class of 1922 Professor of Political Science and has been a member of the MIT faculty since 1995. Before being appointed chancellor in 2021, she served as the Kenan Sahin Dean of the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS) and as head of the Department of Political Science. Moderating this conversation was Robert Dimmick, retired Associate Director of Reunions and Class Programs, MIT Alumni Association. Chancellor nobles shared with us some of the challenges that this class of MIT students has been grappling with over the past year, and the lessons learned by (and from!) those students coming out of the COVID era and moving into an AI-fueled future. A thanks to Chancellor Nobles and to Robert Dimmick for an engaging and enlightening conversation!
